Nike Hyperized - "White Men Can't Jump" colorways

Nike hit us hard last Fall with the beginning of the "Hyper" series with the Hyperdunk, which is now worn by pretty much all basketball players who have a shoe deal with Nike but don't have their own shoe. The Hyper series all feature the new Flywire technology which includes extremely lightweight (might I add bulletproof) fibers to the shoe allowing for the shoes to be approximately 18% lighter than your normal basketball shoe. They are soon to be dropping the newest shoe from the line, the Hyperdunk 2.0 aka the Hyperize. Be looking for it this summer.
I've included my favorite colorway to be seen so far, but by the end of the summer every color under the sun will be out.

Young Jeezy @ Lil' 5

So it's Sunday. Excellent weekend. Lots of sitting around and what not, exactly what the Dr. ordered. I was lucky enough to make it out to the Young Jeezy concert hosted by Sammys. Other than all the clowns taking up all the time before him, 45 minutes of Jeezy was definitely enough to cause happiness. DJ Unk was there as well, but he was semi-wack, so we didn't get any pictures of him. Here's what we got. I've never been that close to so many diamonds in my life. Notice the guy in the back of some of the pics with a white shirt and gray zip-up hoodie. That's Eric Gordon. I guess you can do that kinda stuff when you're in the NBA.

"Amazing" - Kanye West

So it's Lil' 5 weekend. I hope everyone doing what they do and having a great one. Going to see Jeezy in about 30 minutes. Gonna be on point. That's why i gotta hit you with this video.

Kanye West just released this on his blog. That means you know it's the newest thing happening. This one is featuring Jeezy for the last verse. Just hot off the presses. Enjoy.

Paul "Pleasure P" Patterson

This song has been out forever on MySpace. Hit up Tugboat Productions.

More music coming daily now.

finally figured out how to embed it.

Bertone Mandide

This is the newest machine coming out of Europe. Based on the 2009 Corvette ZR-1, this thing packs 638 HP using the 6.2 liter Supercharged V8 that they're putting in the new ZR-1. Made with all carbon fiber, this thing tops out around 217, as fast, if not faster, than the Lamborghini Murcielago. Pull over that ass too fat! More pics after the jump.

Nike Sweet Classic High

A return to the classic Nike style. Simple yet elegant.

I swear to the heavens I've been waiting for this one forever. It's the Blazer, but without the normal thick ass bottom most Blazers have, which piss me off. Extra fly.

Relapse art released

So as I and many other hip-hop connoisseurs know, the new Eminem compact disc, Relapse, is being released in May. May 15th to be precise, and they just released the album art for it today. Looking pretty cool.

The rumored first single off this album, Crack a Bottle, featuring Em, Dre, and 50, floated onto the interweb about 3 months ago. This song was later dispelled as being the first single, and just kind of a precursor to the Year of Aftermath that 2009 is going to be. The official single, We Made You, got released about two weeks ago. Like 'Em (pun) or not, the song is extremely catchy. In classic style, the song is an immediate hit (currently number 3 on iTunes Top Songs, and number 1 on their Hip Hop chart) and is making it into the minds and memory of every teenager within the United States. Being the critic that I am, I feel that the song is slightly already played out because it sounds like every other one of his hits. What I'm really looking forward to is the CD, which will be excellent like always.

Also be looking out for 50 Cent's "Before I Self Destruct" coming out this summer, and towards the end of the year, the highly anticipated, Dr. Dre's first release in 10 years (since Chronic 2001 released in 1999), Detox. I've heard a couple singles off of it so far, and they're all sounding pretty excellent. They all pretty much feature T.I. right now, and I'm pretty sure that Dre just wanted to record those early before Tip got put in jail for gun charges.

Til next time.

Lollapalooza 2009

So it's that time of year again, and they just made the announcement of who's going to be performing, and let me tell you, I'm pretty excited.

The headliners are not bad (Depeche Mode, Tool, The Killers, Beastie Boys), but I'm more excited about everyone else. First and foremost, Snoop Dogg is gonna be there. Obviously I'll have to go to that one, maybe even catch a contact high.
Others that are worth seeing include:
- Arctic Monkeys
- Coheed and Cambria
- Ben Folds
- Fleet Foxes
- Santogold
- Lykke Li
- Peter Bjorn and John
- Asher Roth
- Kid CuDi
and... - a DJ set by A-Trak

I'm kinda sad because last year was probably one of the most bomb ass sets I've ever heard of in my life, but it's going to be fun this year for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you there.

So it's 4/20 and....

Asher Roth's cd comes out today, and let me tell you, it's one to be heard.

Coming from his lack of an urban background, this cat can sure flow. I haven't heard anyone like him for a while. If you hear someone who's comparing them to Em, they really haven't heard much music. He's in a whole different sector of the music game.
As you may be aware, most MCs talk about what they know, like guns, drugs, etc. But Roth talks college? Oh yes. because he actually went to college. unlike every other rapper ever. Other than The Game (who was there on a basketball scholarship, but was thrown out due to drugs... very black of him).
If you believe that this guy is just comical due to his first single "I Love College," please reconsider, because after listening to his cd for about a week now, I've really come to love almost each and every track. and you should too...

P.S. enjoy today, because as the owner of 4/20 Underground in Muncie, IN says, "You can save a lotta tobacco, man...."

Ah the first post

Because I have a lot of views about everything, and randomly thing stuff is cool, this blog has begun. Semi-inspired by John Ratz (check out his music blog at www.concretethought.com), I figured that i would share what i think is cool with everyone else....ever. This whole thing is mainly focusing on music, movies, fashion, and anything else i deem to be sweet in many ways.

Hopefully i'll be able to update often. probably a lot since i'm bored a lot.

Catch you soon.
